ABOUT ME

Paul (PG) Murray - me, a writer/illustrator began commercial life with some magazine contributions in the 90’s; (the South African version of) Hustler to name one.

I ran a front page satirical cartoon called Black & White in the Cape Times for a while until the content sailed beyond the bounds of editorial and political correctness - as one does...

More recently my classically styled poem, (The) Raven (with no inspiration or apologies to Mr Poe) won a runner up prize in the Carpe Articulum Literary Review, an international publication -  http://www.carpearticulum.com

I relocated to SA (South Australia) from SA (South Africa) in April 2014 and am now sharing life with my wonderful wife, Karen and a menagerie of cats in Central Coast NSW.

PRANA is my second novel, the first, GREY also featuring a cast of angels and demons who form a theme through these and future stories.

The sequel to PRANA will star the progeny of Lucifer himself, one Serendipity De-Ville; a confused hybrid angel-woman who has a lot to learn about life, the universe and her origins. Much like the rest of us, I guess although that one is currently on the backburner as Spiral Strand pushed its way into my consciousness first - see below.

Home, Haggis And Honeymoon is a bittersweet chronicle of the zany journey that resulted in us immigrating to Australia and commemorates my brother's life. Irreverent, funny, sad and hopefully uplifting.

My latest book, The Spiral Strand - the most ambitious project to date, is well underway and should see the light of day within the next few months. I shall endeavour to summarise it more precisely when I have worked out what the hell is going on... Watch this space.
